Acceptance & hope: Feel better by finding your special place
Here continues my answer to the question:
What can you do when you are forced to stay at home for a longer time period during these times?
Earlier posts have been about how to deal with negative and worrying thoughts by changing your attitude, more specifically, your sense of coherence and how you can try to find new contexts.
Another way to find new contexts is to find a place – your oasis – where you can create positive associations by just doing stimulating things there: writing, resting, drink coffee or tea?
To think about:
Which places do you enjoy that you still have access to?
What place in your home do you enjoy?
How can you make it even more enjoyable?
What do you want to do there? Who can you invite to share it with you?
What places outside your home do you enjoy?
How can you create a routine to spend time in that place regularly?
What do you want to do there?
Who would you like to share it with?
How can it be made even more personal?
