Find your positive traits to incresase your self-esteem (1 minute read)
This post continues with how you can feel better during this crisis by developing both your self-esteem and your self-confidence. Here I continue with the questions from the last post with the aim to help you identify your positive traits. Research has shown that positive self-validation, as long as they are not too unrealistic, strengthen self-esteem, reduce the negative effects of stress and improve performance. The first step is to identify your positive traits that you then can use in affirmations.
Identify your positive traits to incresase your self-esteem
Try to find at least 10 positive traits that describe you. For many, this is surprisingly difficult, 3 are what most people I have met can identify spontaneously. You can use your answers to the questions in the last post to identify your positive traits:
Which traits and qualities are needed to be in the way that you like about yourself?
Which traits and qualities are needed to be able to do what others have praised you for?
What traits and qualities lie behind your strengths?
What traits and qualities are needed to be good at what you are good at?
Which traits and qualities characterize what you think are fun to do?
