How you can increase your self-esteem (1 minute read)
This post continues with how you can feel better during this crisis by developing both your self-esteem and your self-confidence. We need both self-confidence and self-esteem because they are interconnected and enforce each other. The overall judgment you make of your self-confidence and the habit of giving yourself more love and understanding improve your self-esteem. This will in turn improve your self-confidence. As your confidence increases, your self-esteem is likely to increase even further.
Therefore, for many reasons, it is important to spend more time exploring activities and creativity that can strengthen your self-confidence in new, less threatening areas and thus perhaps your self-esteem. In order to improve how you value yourself, your self-worth, it is also important to work with self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is your ability to perform certain specific activities. This can also affect and improve your well-being. More about this in upcoming posts.
Try this to boost your self-esteem:
To develop your self-confidence and self-efficacy, hence potentially even your self-esteem, you can:
– Test new hobbies and interests that you are both impressed with and that seem sufficiently difficult and challenging. That is to say, with step-by-step learning and rewarding mile stones so that you can get feedback and help quickly.
– Engage in this activity with others who are good at it and who can therefore explain and answer questions about how you can develop.
