Increase your self-esteem by listening to your feelings (1 minute read)
This post “Increase your self-esteem by listening to your feelings” continues with how you can increase your self-esteem by getting to know yourself.
Increase your self-esteem by listening to your feelings:
As mentioned in the last post, we all benefit from paying more attention to our feelings and the related needs and thoughts.
Here are some more steps for exploring each feeling.
Try to notice 3 times a day: morning, midday and evening, maybe in connection to meals:
- What feelings you are feeling, try to find at least three.
- How strong is each feeling on a scale 1 = barely noticeable to 10 = extremely strong.
- Think about why you are having each feeling – what is the feeling trying to make you aware of – what need needs to be fulfilled for the feeling to go away
- What is the behavioural impulse of the feeling – what does each feeling want you to do?
