As mentioned in the last post, we all benefit from paying more attention to our feelings and the related needs and thoughts.
Try this:
Here are some more steps for exploring each feeling.
Try to notice 3 times a day: morning, midday and evening, maybe in connection to meals:
- What feelings you are feeling, try to find at least three.
- How strong is each feeling on a scale 1 = barely noticeable to 10 = extremely strong.
- Think about why you are having each feeling – what is the feeling trying to make you aware of – what need needs to be fulfilled for the feeling to go away
- What is the behavioural impulse of the feeling – what does each feeling want you to do?
