Increase your self-esteem by writing a gratitude diary (1 minute read)
This post “Increase your self-esteem by writing a gratitude diary” continues with how you can increase your self-esteem.
Increase your self-esteem by writing a gratitude diary:
There are several benefits to conclude your diary entry by listing 3 things you are grateful for. This can help you reflect on your thoughts and feelings, which will help you discover and understand yourself.
Regularly writing about what you are grateful for makes you focus on what works for you and the great moments you already have and experience. This in turn will help you colour your presence in a positive and nourishing light.
Positive effects of regularly keeping a gratitude diary are:
– increased well-being
– improved relationships
– more optimism
– an experience of more meaning in daily life.
Try this:
Add to your diary entry a habit of always counting 3 things for which you are grateful. It can be experiences, insights, health, your qualities, people and actions.
You can use the time when you brush your teeth to think about what you are grateful for that particular day.
