This post ‘Increase your self-esteem by composing affirmations’ continues with techniques to increase your self-esteem.
Increase your self-esteem by composing affirmations:
It is important to clarify and visualize your values. They are the building blocks of who you are and want to become.
A way to both use visualizations and validate yourself is to repeat affirmations.
Affirmations are positive statements about you that guide your thinking, priorities and actions.
Affirmations can help us handle stress and make us more open to feedback and change. Also, affirmations give us better access to our creativity and problem-solving skills.
Try this:
When you formulate your affirmations it is helpful to make them:
1 Emotionally charged
2 Include Positive statements
3 Use first person
4 Use present tense as if you already are living by your core values and have achieved the related goal
For example:
I feel proud and alive for choosing healthier food and exercise
I feel harmonious and proud of my mindful, kind and calm traits
I like myself regardless of how things turn out. I believe in endurance and effort
I feel joy and gratitude for actively using my time on what matters in my life: my children and hobbies
