Increase your self-esteem by taking care of your anger (1 minute read)
This post “Increase your self-esteem by taking care of your anger” continues with how you can increase your self-esteem by getting to know and manage your feelings.
Increase your self-esteem by taking care of your anger:
You can use the 8-step model introduced earlier to confirm your anger and use the information so that you do not harm yourself.
Try this:
Next time you hear your anger, try the 8 steps:
1 Notice the anger and, if necessary, calm yourself down with the 8-second strategy
2 Name the anger
3 Locate the anger in your body
4 Note how strong the anger is on a scale of 1 to 10
5 Try to understand the cause of the anger
6 Listen to what the anger spontaneously wants you to do and say it to yourself
7 Understand whether anger is a real emotion or reaction to another emotion or a defense mechanism
8 Transform your anger into healthy and mature self-assertion and action by telling yourself what you feel, think and need to do based on what is wise to do in the actual situation.
After confirming your anger with these steps, it is likely to decrease with a healthier end result.
